Normally in the service business, all you hear are complaints. Most people don’t take the time to express good service when they receive it. You guys rocked, especially Mary. She did a great job and really helped us out. Our place looks awesome. Mary really encouraged my wife to get organized and consolidate our belongings. A lot of the stuff was her mother’s, who passed away a couple of years ago, which Mary really helped Amanda get through. I just wanted you to know what a wonderful time I had with Mary on Saturday organizing my craft/sewing area. She arrived on time, came with an open mind and had great ideas on maximizing the space. She was not pushy but provided options on how to decide on keeping, donating or throwing out things! It was an added bonus that she took things to donate that day! I feel as if the room now has more space with a better flow.
My wife and I do our best to keep as organized as possible, but after moving with a two-week-old newborn, our basement and closets became more and more cluttered from the move and lack of time to organize what we have. I cannot say enough good things about Charm City Organizers. My basement was driving me crazy until CCO came to help me organize it. After raising two sons and cleaning out the homes of two sets of parents, we were swamped with stuff. CCO helped me sift through everything and decide what to donate, sell, recycle or keep. One of the things I love best about Charm City Organizers is that when you purge your belongings – they take them. When I purge my clothes myself, they sit in a bag on my floor or in my car trunk for months. Then eventually, I go through them again and reclaim stuff. It feels great to get of rid of stuff quickly and have it be gone immediately.

I learned so many great organizing strategies from Annie at Charm City Organizers. Being organized is so liberating! We started in my kitchen and while it was scary to see how much stuff I was able to fit into a ‘junk drawer,” it was also exhilarating to realize that most of the junk was not really needed. Having someone there throughout the process made it less scary and actually quite energizing. I have been inspired to do so much more organizing on my own, including in my classroom. It just makes sense to me! I can hear the organizer’s voice in my head: things like, “Do you really need that?” and “Yes, it’s okay to recycle old folders.” I find myself clearing out just one shelf at a time, or one drawer at a time, as they advised, that way I don’t get overwhelmed. I’ve made a lot of progress so far and don’t plan on stopping!
As a teacher in Baltimore City, I have found that one of the best ways to make learning come to life is by having the students engage in laboratory experiments. I rarely found the time to put away materials and would hide numerous materials in my closet or behind my work bench. I knew I needed some help. Now, labs can take place in a neat and organized room. At any one time I can find something I need in the lab and I can easily order supplies and manage an inventory.
